Feels like Winter

Saturday there was a lot of rain. I was having an outing with my photography class. I could have cancelled, but I quite liked the prospect of taking pictures in the rain. In Italy there is usually not so much wind, so even when it rains heavily, it is not that bad as long as you have an umbrella. But of course Saturday was the exception and not only did it pour down really heavily, there was also quite a strong wind. I think my students were all quite miserable. I hope they got some nice pictures though. Back home, because temperature had dropped down, not to freezing, but close to it, the fireplace had been burning all day. I was actually quite happy for this, as last week it seemed Spring had really come to stay. However we still have some firewood lying around, which we won't take when we move, so this was the best oppertunity to burn it up. Our two nutcrackers are always permanently guarding our fireplace. My husband thinks they should only be there around Christmas time. I like having them around all year round. What would you do?

Hello Shinny,
Like what you captured in your rain shots!
WONDERFUL that you are teaching a photography class!! Simply wonderful!
About the Nutcrackers. Methinks you are a magical Mama, and you make if fun for your kids by leaving them in place to guard the fireplace.
What will your next stop be after Italy? You and your family are catching up with Pete and I and may officially qualify as Gypsy's by now.

When you have time, please drop back by and peek at my macaroon mushroom and Earth day party faces.

Hugs from afar,
Constance

Thanks Constance! Yes I'm enjoying it a lot. We will move "back" to the Netherlands. For M and me it will be a move back, but the kids have never lived there, so for them it's a new abroad ;)

Thank you for popping back by for the "mushroom viewing" ;-)
You know Shin,
I'm thinking you should meet a blogger friend Dutchbaby.http://godutchbaby.blogspot.com. She hasn't done much blogging for awhile, but you are both excellent photographers and smart and creative. She lived part of her childhood in the Netherlands, also Indonesia.

Hope you are having a nice day!!

Thanks Constance, I dropped into her blog. She hasn't posted for a long time. I'd feel awkward to drop in. I hope her mother is doing well. Have a great day too! :)
